Echoes of England
I’m working on it whenever I can and have even got a couple of ideas for the cover design.
Lots to do though still, so I’ll keep you posted. x
I’m almost on completion, with only one more to write, then I’ll have my hundredth!
Back to the beginning after that for a final going through, editing and proofing. Illustrations will follow.
Hoping to publish in 2019. Till next time. x
It’s official: my book is written!
I’ve now gone right back to the beginning and am in the process of reading them through to check and
edit them all, before proofing. It’s a time consuming business and tricky to fit in around a very demanding
garden, but I’ll get there. Cheerio for now. x
I thought I’d bring you up to date on the progress of my book.
I reunited with it in the New Year after a short break during the Yule season, and I’m now back
on track. I'm still working my way through the edits and am putting a lot more time in to it this year:
prioritising it to speed things up, though it’s often hard to do around daily life etc, especially when
spring arrives and my garden starts needing attention! I’m aiming to get to the proofing stage by summer, so
fingers crossed! I’m really enjoying working on it, and I really can’t wait to get it published so
I can share it with everyone. There’s alot more to do still, so I’ll be in touch
before I get to the end. Bye for now. x
Happy New Year! A quick update. It's all going well. I’ve actually been rewriting
many of the earlier poems as I edit them and writing more completely new ones too, so it’s been much more time
consuming than expected: hence the proofing stage is still a little way off yet. Having said that, I’m working
on it every opportunity I get and it will be worth it in the end.
Onwards and upwards! All the very best. x
Hello everyone out there. I hope this update finds you safe and well.
Due to the terrible recent events and its resulting lockdown, I have at least been able to spend a
lot more time doing rewrites/editing Echoes of England, in-between drawing/writing about a certain cheeky
Jack in the Green, who wouldn’t take no for an answer lol, and the usual gardening of course, that’s a must! I’m actually
very pleased, because Jack’s poem, Till I Return, absolutely beckoned to be in the book, and I managed to find a space
for it: very at home it is there too! Well, today I completed no 70! Yeah! Only 30 to go! I really feel I’m making
progress now and am starting to think about the next stage, which under the present circumstances
with social distancing, will be the artwork for the cover. Exciting! I’ll say ‘cheerio’ for now.
Just think, the next time I post, I’ll be at the end of this stage, at last!
Take care all of you. With love from Rosey. X
